{Lovely Christmas}

Hi friends!
I hope your Christmas was filled with joy and love!
I love Christmas every year but this year was my favorite since we have been married. My husband and I decided we would try things a little different in light of all the many families we wanted to see. We normally try and cram everyone into one house within a couple of hours but this year we spent the morning alone, the afternoon with his folks and the evening with my family. It was by far the least stressful, most fun Christmas we have had since we have been married.

Christmas Eve we were at our church service. It was really beautiful and I loved spending time with everyone that night. I wore the pretty shirt Nathan had picked out for me and given to me a couple days prior.  Here's us with Santa ;)

Christmas Eve and the morning of Christmas were my favorite because we spent it alone. We started a new dinner tradition on Christmas Eve and had sushi together. We then came home and decorated WAY too many sugar cookies.It started to become extremely late and we started joking with each other about our cookies. I stabbed the cookie Nathan decorated with a tooth pick.. so he cut off the head of mine. haha, it was late and we were having way too much fun :)

We then opened all our gifts (except our stockings). I got a Canon powershot camera! We broke our little Nikon at youth camp this year and I have been dying for a new one ever since. So Nathan bought me this awesome, pretty little  camera! I was so excited!

We finally went to bed and when we woke up, we ran down stairs to open our stockings. OK, maybe that was just me. Later we grabbed a Starbucks and came home and sang worship songs for a while. This was one of my favorite parts of Christmas Day. Just a special time with my husband and Jesus.

We then headed to meet up with his folks and Grandpa at his nursing home. Such a sweet time spent with him. He lost his wife just a couple months ago and I was so saddened by the words he spoke from his broken heart. We will definitely be spending more time with him and doing our best to show him Christ's love and hope.

After that, we headed to Starbucks. Again. Grabbed a hot white mocha to share (I had a ton of giftcards, lucky me) and drove to see my family. My sister then text me and asked us to stop at Starbucks. For the THIRD time. As you can see, my family and I have a serious problem. ;)

We had a great time hanging out and watching the girls open their gifts. Bella gets so excited about each gift. She hugs it and then goes and shows it off.  She was also so energetic and full of joy. It made me so happy to see her looking and acting so healthy. Sweet girl.

Later we had an awesome prime rib dinner and played some bananagrams. It really was a great day!

Here's some of the pictures I captured from my new camera! Yay- You don't have to look at iPhone quality pictures on my blog anymore, you're welcome! ;)

The girls giving me hugs, melts my heart.

 I can't believe Christmas is over. What a wonderful year. I have been so blessed beyond anything I could have ever asked for or imagined. Thank you Jesus for everything you have done and continue to do every single day in my life. I love you.
