I love Jesus. I love writing about Him and His promises. I love that He's called me to serve in youth ministry and that He continues to speak to me all the time. I fail, a lot, but I know He is with me and for me. I know He has given His life for me and I will remain His forever no matter what my circumstances may be, I will choose Him always. I cling to this verse often...
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
I met my husband in Jr. High but we didn't start dating until a year after High School. We got married in April of 2009. I love my husband. I love that he loves me. I love our life together. He is the man I never knew I needed until God brought him into my life. He is truly the most loving, selfless man and I am so honored to be his wife. We are pretty funny and I'd love to share some of those great stories with you. You should also know we aren't perfect and I hope to never convey that on my blog. I am a SAHM and he is a Youth Pastor. We work with students in youth ministry together and things are crazy and lot of times unexpected. Nonetheless, we tend to work through life in some pretty hilarious ways.
Our sweet baby girl joined us in July of 2014. You can read her birth story here. She is smart, happy & the prettiest baby I ever did see. Right now, she is a momma's girl through & through, has the spunkiest personality and says "uh oh" like it's going out of style. Becoming a mom has rocked my world & caused me to grow in so many areas. I was a nanny for many years but nothing can prepare you for becoming a momma. She needs me for sleep, food, comfort, and so much more. It's hard to remember what life was like before becoming a mommy & I am so thankful that the Lord trusted me enough to give me a sweet girl. You can read more about my fear of becoming a mom here.
Quickly, randomly, I love cream with a splash of coffee but prefer Starbucks fro-fro drinks over home brew any day. I love to bake but rarely find myself in the kitchen as much as I'd like. Laughing until I cry is probably my favorite thing to do. I struggle deeply with fear but try very hard not to let it define me. I love the mentor part of youth ministry & seeing my girls grow into who God created them to be & love them like daughters. I have some really incredible friends and met one of my very best blogging. She taught me a lot, like clean eating and all about essential oils but most importantly she taught me that the best of friends don't have to live in the same town & can be there to encourage you through the really hard days.
I began this blog to be an encouragement to others and myself. I love to journal and pour my heart out to the Lord and found that blogging was a way for me to share with others my heart & life as well.
I am so glad that you're here and hope you'll stay a while! I am always up for connecting with others so please feel free to email me personally at:
