18 week 'Bump date'

Hi friends! Sorry I missed week 17! I think I may have to stick to every other week .. We'll see how I feel ;)

Weight: According to my scale at home I'm up 8 pounds which is right where I should be at this point. But don't let that fool you.. This belly is huge ;)

Symptoms: Round ligament pains have definitely happened even more these last couple weeks which I'm not sure I thought was possible and sometimes I will just have random cramps. I have still been hungry all the time too. I can't seem to get full!

Clothes: Maternity clothes are my friend! I got some really cute dresses from Old Navy & one for the gender reveal party we had and they're soo comfy. I'm sure I'll live in those this summer.

Sleep: I certainly like my sleep. Still sleeping 8-9 hours a night but also still waking up a couple times to use the restroom & just lying there for about an hour most nights.

Cravings/Aversions: Samoa cookies. But to be fair, I would want them pregnant or not. I also have been loving burgers again which I couldn't stomach for quite a while.

Baby- Our sweet little GIRL is doing great! We had our anatomy ultrasound Thursday & she said everything looked good! She gave us a ton of cute photos and baby had her little feet up by her head most of the time. We loved seeing how big she has gotten and all the neat things they show you during the scan. Her heart was beating at 150 and we got to hear it which is always fun! She is measuring one day behind my due date which is awesome! (We weren't sure in the beginning about exact last period date so this makes perfect sense!) We pray for our sweet baby every night together and are just so thankful that she is doing so good and know it's truly a blessing from The Lord. She was definitely smiling on the ultrasound and I know it's because we specifically pray that she will be happy and know she's loved :)

Movement: Baby girl has moved so much more over the last couple weeks. She moves enough for Nathan to sometimes feel her and it's really cute seeing his face light up. It's definitely becoming much more obvious when she's kicking. Nathan would put his ear to my belly and hear her moving around a bit so I decided I would buy a stethoscope so I could hear too! I got it after one day (thanks amazon prime!) and I can definitely hear her in there! You can tell the difference between her moving and my tummy growling which I wasn't sure about but it's definitely noticeable when it's her!

How I am feeling: I've been feeling so great! I have definitely begun the honeymoon stage, that I swore would never come! I have so much more energy and I love shopping for our baby girl. Nathan says I definitely have the "glow" now and I totally agree. I am LOVING this stage of pregnancy & just am so so happy. God has certainly given me more than I could ever think or ask and I am so so grateful. It's funny because I feel like we have found everything out and now it's just a waiting game. We probably won't have any more ultrasounds (Except the 4D we are planning with family!) so now we can just focus on preparing for her.

How Daddy's feeling: "SUPER EXCITED to be a daddy! Also I have an overwhelming desire to see her fall in love with Jesus!"

Other Stuff: We had our gender reveal party last week and it was SO much fun. Everything turned out awesome and I can't thank my husband and mom enough for everything they did! I can't wait to share all the pictures of the party!
Here's a cute picture of Nathan and one of our Pups and also one he got of my sweet "little" bump!

16 Week 'Bumpdate'

16 Weeks
(My sweet husband went craaazzzy with the chalkboard this week.)

Weight: Same since my last appointment last Thursday I think. My scale at home is much different so we'll see.

Symptoms: This past week I had an apple, apple juice & some pineapple and an hour later I was in the bathroom throwing up. It's been so long since this has happened that it took me by surprise but it only happened once. I have been feeling a little nauseous and tired this week again but it's nothing like it was before. Other than that I have had a runny nose, some headaches more frequently, hip pain while sleeping and sore boobs again. I have been hungry all the time too. I can't seem to get full!

Clothes: Unless I'm home, I tend to rock all the cute maternity pants/shirts I can. My sweet friend who now has a 4 month old, gave me her maternity stuff and I wear it as much as possible to show off the bump ;)

Sleep: It's been OK. I've noticed I have been waking up at 3-4am and I can't go back to sleep for at least an hour. I'm also up twice a night to use the restroom because of how much water I drink but I was the same before I was pregnant.

Cravings/Aversions: I really love anything salty.. Lately I've enjoyed "seafood" salad with some crackers, a once a week tuna sandwich, and pickles. Occasionally I will want some candy or a doughnut but I'm pretty happy with salty foods.

Baby- Is the size of an avocado! Roughly 4.5 inches long & 3.5 ounces. Little one can hear my voice now and can taste what I eat! Nathan has been talking our little bear since he knows the baby can hear him now :) Also, look at that belly! I think it had a major growth spurt despite weighing the same! Also the little one has been moving a lot and I love that! It's normally at night or in the early mornings and I love that it's just a reminder that I am growing a sweet baby!

How I am feeling: Pretty good! Ready for that big burst of energy and the "honeymoon" stage I hear you all talk about ;) I am just so thankful to be pregnant though. In the wee hours of the night that I am awake, I can feel the baby move a lot and I just sit and pray for my sweet little one. Pregnancy has been teaching me a lot and I am just so overjoyed that God is allowing me to carry a child.

How Daddy's feeling: "feeling spunky! Ready to be a daddy!!!!
(yes he actually said that, including all the ! marks)

Other Stuff: The party is coming together really great! With Nathan's help I FINALLY found how I wanted to do the "reveal" part and I am so excited about it. It took a while to make it work, but I think we found something perfect. Can't wait to show you all :) So so excited and now it's only 1.5 weeks away!

14 & 15 week 'Bumpdate'

 14/15 Weeks
(I had throw these weeks together because I couldn't muster a post last week and I never ended up getting a 14 week picture.)

Weight: Up 3 pounds since my very first appointment 8 weeks ago.

Symptoms: Things have been a lot better! Food is starting to sound more and more appealing to me & nausea is few and far between. I got the flu this week and it.was.a-w-f-u-l. I was finally doing pretty well pregnancy wise then I got really sick. I've still had a constant runny nose & have been getting round ligament pains. I'm growing in a lot of places at this stage of pregnancy. I've noticed the "bump has become fuller at the top of my stomach now and not just a little "pooch." I haven't seen any stretch marks but I know they're coming as I have been itching like crazy.

Clothes: Always maternity bottoms or yoga pants at home & mostly regular shirts for now. The Cartwheel app at Target has 40% off one maternity item and I've been eyeing a dress so that's exciting!

Sleep: It's been pretty good. I've gone down to about 8-9 hours of sleep at night and been Ok. I did nap the other day but again, I had the flu. I don't wake up as often to use the restroom anymore but I will wake up if I've been laying on one side too long because my hips will hurt.

Cravings/Aversions: I still don't know that I have had "cravings" per say but I have enjoyed some pickles, carrots and fire Cheetos. ;) The aversions are sooooo much better. I can typically stand most foods now even if some sound better than others. My hate for water has slowly started to creep back.. but only since I had the flu. It began making me gag but I forced it anyways. I'm working on it...

Baby- Little one is doing great! We got to hear the heartbeat on Thursday for the first time. Our Dr. only had it on there for about 20 seconds before I could realize what was going on so I was kinda bummed about that. Really neat how fast it beats though! It was 154 and mine was 72! Baby is the size of an orange measuring 2.5 ounces and about 4 inches. Crazy how much he/she has grown already!

How I am feeling: Good! So thankful to be turning a corner after the rough first trimester. I have felt the baby move more and more & it's getting stronger. It's typically when I am lying down at night or early in the morning. I also loved hearing the heartbeat & knowing our little bear is growing & happy. Getting really close to our gender reveal party! It's been fun to plan and think of ways to do the "big reveal." I even bought a pink/blue dress & I can't wait to wear it! What did y'all do for your parties??

How Daddy's feeling: "Excited and a little worried I might spill the beans about whether it's a boy or girl since we'll know before the party..."

Other Stuff: I am dyinnnnggg over wanting to buy this little baby some clothes! Every time I go to Target, I send my husband picture after picture of things I would want our baby to wear! :) It's been fun dreaming about how we want the nursery to look & planning ideas as much as we can.
